News and Communications

Saturday, July 27° - more than 250 guests a tour Club – after the first day of Transbenaco regatta…

Walter Caldonazzi’s Black Arrow, with Oscar Tonolli, wins for the first time the Trans Benaco Cruise Trophy.

A nice wind accompanied the 33rd Trans Benaco, the longest cruise race of Lake Garda this year with over 50 boats at the start: a very beautiful edition from the technical point of view and the wind, which allowed two stages fun and quite fast. Just over 4 and a half hours the time taken by the first boats in the first part of 20 miles Portese-Torbole; just over 2 hours in the return Torbole-Portese with a nice wind from the north.

The Trans Benaco cruise race, organized with enthusiasm by the Circolo Nautico Portese in collaboration with Limone Garda Sailing and with the support of the Circolo Vela Toscolano Maderno, and Circolo Vela Torbole, has demonstrated once again - 33 years after its first edition – that it’s able to combine wants to combine fun, passion for sailing, pleasure of being together and the most technical aspects.

Among the fifty boats at the start there are many famous faces, who together with their boats are now fond of the event like Walter Caldonazzi (Fraglia Vela Riva) and Oscar Tonoli (GN Dielleffe), respectively owner and helmsman well known on Lake Garda, who on board of their “Black Arrow”, have achieved the goal, winning after several attempts the Trophy Trans Benaco cruise, awarded to the first production boat ranked in real time (thus excluding the boats Hi tech), calculating the sum of the times of the two sections of the route.
