Almost 40 crews from 11 countries participated in the 46th edition of the Marina Preis Trophy, a recurring event organized by Circolo Vela Torbole authorized also by the Italian Sailing Federation FIV and dedicated to the glorious FD, won for the first time in 1973 by the Oradini brothers.
The FD is a class that has remained in the hearts of many sailors for its technical characteristics and for the golden years in which it was Olympic, from 1960 (Rome) to 1992 (Barcelona). The Marina Preis Trophy, which is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary, is still one of the classic regattas on Lake Garda Trentino.

 Six races were held with light-medium south wind and German domination, with the first three positions occupied by Killian-Brack, Antrecht-Kujan and Schwarz-Kirst respectively, in the order of sail number GER 113, 30 and 87. The winners left 7 points to the seconds, strong of two first, two third, one fourth and one twelfth discarded. Only one point between the second and third. As for what concerns the Italian temas, the first Italian crew was made up of Roberto Cipriani and Rinaldo Rinaldi, tenths overall, with a fourth in regatta 3 as the best partial.
