The Monotype in scene at our Club from 25° to 27° September
Ten years after the SB20 World Championship organized at Circolo Vela Torbole with the victory of the French Robin Follin with Marine Boudot and Michele Emeric, the SB20 class is back in the spotlight on Garda Trentino with the Italian Open Championship scheduled from 25th to 27th September. An event that for obvious reasons will not have such a massive participation as expected, due to the travel problems of some countries, but Circolo Vela Torbole wanted to keep the event to offer those who can participate the possibility of three days of wonderful sailing. The SB20 class, the hull originally called SB3, is widespread mainly in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, Australia, France, Holland, Singapore and Italy and over the weekend about twenty crews are expected in Torbole (3 or 4 people for each boat). The weather forecast is uncertain, but surely the "Alto Garda" will offer adequate wind conditions, as well as hospitality that will allow sailors and their families to spend three days between rest and fun. First possible start of the first race on Friday 25th at 12:30 a.m., while already on Thursday the crews will be busy with the boat tonnage operations.
