Eight challenging races to win the Ufo 22 tricolour
After an uncertain first day, the Italian Ufo 22 Championship organised by Circolo Vela Torbole by delegation of FIV, got the wind right on the remaining two days, thanks to the north wind that blew regularly in the morning on Garda Trentino, and that ensured good and hard-fought races. Around twenty crews took part in the final classification, which took into account both the overall finishing order for the award of the title and that of the owners/helmsmen, as well as the previous three legs of the Turbo Cup, for the award of victory in this circuit, which ended in Torbole. The first three positions that also decided the tricolour podium remained unchanged from those of the second day of racing, confirming in first place and Italian Champion Ufo 22 Escopazzo of Nicola Girardi (Matteo Ferraglia, Carlo Fracassoli, Carlo Zermini and Alice Cialfi in the crew), who in the last few races has definitely extended his lead with other firsts (4 out of 8 races), which has allowed him to win by as much as 18 points over the seconds and above all to easily discard the penultimate race in which he was forced to retire due to a technical problem. The rest of the podium was decided in a very short ranking: only 3 points from second to fifth place; "Magica" (CV Gargnano) owned by Fabio Larcher with Albini, Diego Larcher and Giambarda climbs on the second step of the podium, leaving only one point behind Giò, with Francesco Barbi, Franchini, Albini and Roberta De Muna (ANS).
Sixth overall, but first helmsman-owner Alessandro Lotto on "Deghejo" (Verbano YC). The overall Turbo Cup was won by Magica, second by Giò and third by Escopazzo, while the special owner-helmsman classification was won by Whatever.
