On Garda Trentino, after the 1,000 Optimists arrived during the Easter week, the sailing regatta season organised by the various clubs continues apace. On Wednesday 20th April the Circolo Vela Torbole began the regattas of the 2nd Lupo Cup, an event reserved for the 420 class, which will have 66 crews on the water until Saturday, mainly from Germany, as well as Croatia and Poland. The event, now in its second edition, was created to celebrate the twinning between Circolo Vela Torbole and the Bayerischer Yacht Club (Germany), which has been bringing its competitive teams to Torbole for training for many years. The first day, although characterised by cloudy weather, did not fail in terms of wind, which blew at 13 knots and allowed three exciting races to be held. The programme includes 3 races per day with a maximum of 12 in total. After the first few races, there was a great deal of balance in the top positions, with 3 crews with equal points: after 3 races, the German crew Gericke-Schwarz was in the lead, followed by the Croatians Ema-Scheidtl, Lysander-Boetsch (GER) and Fleischer-Gnass (GER), all with 15 points, 6 from the leaders.
